Sensory Evaluation – Testers Needed!
The Department of Animal and Food Sciences is coordinating sensory evaluations for three newly developed food products by our Food Science Capstone students. These evaluations are scheduled for Monday, April 22, with separate sessions for each product.
Here’s the schedule:
- 9:00am-11:30am: Plant protein tortilla
- 12:00pm-2:00pm: Vegan gelato
- 2:00pm-4:00pm: Flavored kefir
We’re reaching out to invite you to participate as panelists (judges) for these sensory evaluations. Your role would involve tasting and evaluating the samples, which should take approximately 10-15 minutes for each product. Your insights are invaluable for shaping the future of the food manufacturing industry.
The evaluations will be held at 120 Worrilow Hall. Feel free to drop in anytime between 9:00am and 4:00pm on Monday, April 22. No prior training is necessary, and all are welcome to attend. Upon arrival, we’ll conduct a quick food-allergen screening during check-in. Plus, we’ll have complimentary snacks available for you to enjoy during the evaluations.
