Celebrating Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2025 at UD

This October is the 22nd annual Cybersecurity Awareness Month, an annual, month-long celebration of cybersecurity in recognition of the growing importance it plays throughout our lives.

Led jointly by the United States Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance, Cybersecurity Awareness Month helps educate the public about safe computing and information practices. Throughout October, the government and more than 600 public and private organizations nationwide champion the cybersecurity cause.

Stay safe, stay healthy, stay secure

This year, we’re keeping the message simple. Here are a few tips and resources to stay secure while you tackle all that work and life are throwing at you.

  • Secure UD Training is now available. The curriculum takes less than 20 minutes; earn your certificate of completion today!
  • Set up your 2FA app: Configure Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator as a more secure replacement for SMS-based two-factor codes.
  • VPN: How and when to use Anyconnect!
  • Unsure whether an email is legit? Forward it using the new Phishing Alert Button and our team will look into it and let you know what we’ve found!
