Public Speaking Awards 2024
Thirty-eight eager 4-H members competed in the 2024 Sussex County 4-H Public Speaking Contest on Saturday, January 27 at the 4-H Office.  Judges were impressed with the great variety of topics presented and how well each member spoke.  Photos from the event can be found on the Delaware 4-H Flickr site. Participants are listed below.

Top Award Winners included:
Beginner I (8-9 year old) Division:  Kaylee Martin, Harbor Lights, “Girl Scout Cookies”

Beginner II (10-11 year old):  Julia Freebery, Hollymount, “A Dive into the World of Sharks”

Junior Division (12-13 year old):  Juliette Anger, Bridgeville Mustangs, “Beaver Fever”

Senior Division (14-19 year old):  Carter Bradley, Bridgeville Mustangs, “So You’re Going to College

Extemporaneous Division (14-19 year old):  Addison Freebery, Hollymount

Junior Division (12–13-Year-Old):  Lillie Bradley, Claire Denham, Joel Denham, Hanna Holland, Alex Mavity and Ethan Perry

Senior Division (14 and Older):  Addison Freebery, Brooke Taylor, and Andrew Wisniewski

Extemporaneous Division (14 and Older):  Carter Bradley and Kieran Probert
