The University of Delaware Stress Lab is conducting a large-scale cross-linguistic investigation of the acoustic properties of prominence. A main question we are addressing is what the relationship is between prominence properties and contrastive properties of a language. As of now, the project includes: Arabic, Finnish, French, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Korean, Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, B. Portuguese, Basque, Swedish, Japanese, Serbo-Croatian, Thai, Luganda, Mandarin Chinese, Italian, Armenian. If you are interested in collaborating with our lab on another language, please contact us.
