Dr. Franich receives NSF Grant September 30, 2020
Dr. Franich has recently been awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation for her project Speech and Communicative Timing Across Languages and Linguistic Contexts (BCS 2018003)! As a part of this project, she will be hiring a postdoc (starting Fall 2021). More information about the grant can be found here. Summer Scholars and Fellows June 14, 2020
Three of our undergrad RAs have been awarded summer funding this year, Lindsay Hawtof as a Summer Scholar, and Anna Schumeyer and Nicole Taylor as Summer Fellows. Together, they will be working with Fridah Gam-Belek, a Master’s student in African Languages and Linguistics from the University of Yaounde I in Cameroon, to do phonetic analysis of various aspects of Rɨkpa’, Fridah’s native language (a Bantu language). Congratulations, all!
