For Parents
The lab is located on the 5th floor of the new Tower at STAR Campus. When you arrive, you will find free parking in the lot right outside of the building. One of our Research Assistants will be waiting for you in the lobby, right inside the main doors.
During your lab visit, you and your child will be asked to complete a short, non-invasive experiment, which typically involves playing games, watching a movie, or listening to sounds. We will first go over all the study details, and ask you to complete some paperwork.
Once paperwork is complete, we will go into our “SLAM Lab Shuttle” (a.k.a. our testing room) to complete the study. Studies are designed to be fun and engaging for our participants, and you will be with your child at all times.
The lab is open from 9am-5pm on weekdays and appointments are scheduled at your convenience. Weekend appointments can be scheduled upon request.
We provide sib-sitters who can be available during your visit, in case you need to bring other children along!
We are now also offering ONLINE STUDIES that can be completed from home through short virtual appointments with a member of our research team.
