Assignments in Physical Chemistry, CHEM 443 University of Delaware FALL, 2019
- This is a tentative assignment sheet. Check back often for changes as the semester progresses.
- Reading assignments refer to sections. Read sections BEFORE topics are discussed in lecture; reread afterwards; reread again, if necessary.
- Problems are to be attempted immediately after studying material. Work all problems thoroughly. If you have difficulty with a problem, seek help immediately; rework problems until you are certain you know the concepts, not just how to solve that particular problem.
- There are many other problems at the end of each chapter; try others to see if you understand how to work problems. (ONE CAUTION: Some answers in the back of the book are NOT correct; if you feel you have worked a problem correctly several times and still disagree with the book’s answer, check the corrections sheet or check with a TA.)
- You are welcome to study together, but be sure YOU have learned how to do each of the problems on your own if you expect to pass the course.
- Do not fool yourself. Seeing another person work a problem will not ingrain you with the problem-solving tools to answer quiz and exam questions.
- Be sure to read the Course Policies: https://sites.udel.edu/pchem/chem-443/chem-443-course-policies/
