As part of this research project, a realistic 1:25-scale highway bridge is under construction that will serve both as a research showcase as well as an educational tool. The bridge will be equipped with carbon nanotube-sensing capabilities that will allow students to study bridge behavior under any loading scenario as well as advanced sensing and monitoring technologies.
