The purpose of our international study is to determine how much faculty members in STEM know about mental health.
Mental health literacy describes the knowledge and beliefs about mental disorders and can aid in their recognition, management, or prevention. Knowledge on mental health topics is an important factor when considering the well-being of stakeholders in the academic setting, may improve awareness of helpful counseling services, help students seek support, and may lead to an overall healthier academic environment.
