Use of standardized outcome measures with established psychometric properties (e.g. reliability, validity, etc.) for adults with lower-limb amputations may assist clinicians with objectively documenting patient progress; justifying functional level classification (i.e. K-level), healthcare services, and products (i.e. prostheses); and predicting important patient outcomes, such as fall risk and prosthesis nonuse.
