Vimalin Rujivacharakul is Associate Professor of History of Art and Architecture at the University of Delaware.  She studies material culture, its limits in form, and its connection to other disciplines.  She researches and publishes on history of collecting, thing theory, architecture and world cartography, history of Buddhist art and architecture, Sino-European intellectual history, and wartime studies of material culture.  Her research has been supported by awards and fellowships from the Institute for Advanced Study, Social Science Research Council (SSRC), Getty Research Institute, Andrew W.
