  1. Hello Wedad Alotaibia,
I enjoyed reviewing your Capstone Project on The Teaching/ Learning Cycle: Developing Autonomy through the Collaborative Writing Process. Your poster is very eye-appealing and very well organized. You clearly stated what
Collaborative Writing is a method of collaborative working in which students collaborate as a team on completing a writing task. Your objectives are clearly stated and clear methods for evaluation.

  2. Wedad,
Congratulations! Your poster is beautiful and creative, and your presentation clearly explains collaborative writing. I love that you got this idea from your own experience at the ELI. I noticed that you echo something Amirah also said in her project — students’ beliefs that they “can’t write”. This makes me think that an aspect of collaborative writing is showing students that they CAN write and helping them build self efficacy. In this way it also ties to Sukaynah’s project about growth mindset! So many opportunities for collaboration! Congratulations.

  3. Your poster presentation The Teaching/ Learning Cycle: Developing Autonomy through the Collaborative Writing Process was very creative, appealing and clearly explains collaborative writing. Application of what you learned from your personal experience is what every teacher hopes will happen. You clearly and articulately present. It is sad we were not able to see each other again. I’d love to hear how this goes when you get back home. You have been in my prayers.

  4. Wedad, I am so proud of what you have accomplished here, and I am excited to see where this new approach to writing instruction takes both you and your students. Please keep in touch, both with updates and any questions you might have as you go along!
