IT-UMS A/V Standards

Purpose: In order to maintain operational continuity across campuses, provide efficient support and maintenance and to be in alignment with the Audiovisual Integrated Experience Association’s (AVIXA) best practices.

Display

Commercial monitors must be used

Acceptable manufacturers are:

• Samsung
• NEC
• LG

Projectors can be installed for image displays larger than 65” diagonal

No consumer projectors may be used

Acceptable manufacturers are:

• Epson
• Panasonic

Control System

A control system is recommended if there is/are:

multiple inputs

a sound system

Zoom capability

Acceptable room control systems are:

• Crestron
• Extron

Sound

JBL speakers are recommended. Ceiling or surface mount are acceptable

8 ohm amps must have at least 15 watts per channel

70v amps are acceptable in large spaces with multiple ceiling speakers.

Zoom

For spaces less than 350 square feet:

• Crestron UC-SB1-CAM
• Logitech Meetup

For spaces greater than 350 square feet:

• Devio Biamp w/ microphone to handle sound pickup, and audio processing
• Clearone, Vaddio, Marshall PTZ USB camera
• USB 3.0 repeater cable is recommended
