Video Learning Classroom Studios open for spring
The Learning Classroom Studios (located on the 3rd floor of Pearson Hall) are staffed with full-time technicians to assist with complicated video needs. Each room is designed for full-class interaction between instructors and students through audio, video, Zoom, and course content. Recordings will be uploaded to your My Media account and Canvas course upon request. Space is available for full-semester classes and single recording sessions. Request a tour or reserve a classroom studio.
Canvas spring courses are available
Spring semester Canvas courses were created on December 13. Faculty should check that their courses are appearing as expected on their Canvas Dashboard. Also, it is important to read the latest FERPA guidelines provided by the Registrar’s Office. See this post for information on confirming sites, requesting changes, getting ready for the spring term, and links to the Registrar’s guidelines about FERPA.
Reminder: Faculty can review approved external LTI tools to extend the functionality of Canvas. Other tools can be requested but must first be reviewed.

Good To Know
Google Storage
Google now requires quotas on Google Drive accounts and these are now in-place for all Google accounts. The University will need to reduce Google Drive usage by mid-2024, and UDIT will work with the University community throughout the process.
UD Connect Mobile App
UD’s new app provides students and the rest of the UD community with easy access to information, resources and more. Download the app.
UD Zoom Accounts
Everyone should log into Zoom using one of the standard UD methods (regardless of device). Do not sign in directly at the zoom.us website. Be sure to keep your Zoom software updated to the latest version. Learn how to download the latest version of Zoom for your device.
Final Migration to Webex Calling
To better support UD’s future work environment, UDIT has migrated the majority of UD’s existing VoIP phone services to Webex Calling with the remaining users migrating by April 2023.
UDIT Telephone Services will continue to host open house Zoom meetings to answer your questions and address your concerns. Join via Zoom.
Every Monday @ 9-10 AM
Every Wednesday @ 1-3 PM
