New IT service status page
Bookmark our new service status page (udel.edu/it/status) in the Service Portal! Going forward, scheduled and unplanned outages of UDIT supported services will be reported through this page. UDIT’s Twitter status feed @udelitstatus is no longer active.
Research Related
New streamlined software licensing request process
A new request form is available in UDeploy for licenses of select UDIT-supported software products including ENVI, Esri, SAS, and SPSS. Find information about the new process and a list of impacted software products at this knowledge base article.
High Performance Computing (HPC) Class Accounts
The DARWIN HPC system is available at no cost for appropriate class use. Allocation requests can be made via the DSI DARWIN webpage. First time users are encouraged to reach out to our Research Cyberinfrastructure staff to ensure DARWIN is adequate for your needs. Please allow a minimum of two weeks for account creation.
Good To Know
Wi-Fi upgrades
170 of UD’s large classrooms and lecture halls got an Wi-Fi upgrade over the summer. In early 2024, UDIT will begin campus-wide Wi-Fi upgrades.
Google Storage
As announced in May 2023, Google Workspace now includes storage limits. To meet these new limits, UD must markedly reduce its file storage in Google Drive by fall of 2024. UDIT will be providing additional information related to this initiative in the coming months, and will continue to reach out to persons with significant storage usage. As an initial step, please remove any files unaffiliated with UD that you are storing in your My Drive. If you have critical storage or backup needs, contact UDIT at it-google-storage@udel.edu.
