Purpose:
Troubleshooting issues with border gateway protocol (BGP) routing on the new multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) network configuration.
Impact:
Complete campus IP (Data) Network outage, including satellite campuses.
Effect:
No IP data network connectivity for normal and emergency Telephone/Voice Services, Fire Alarms, Security Alarms, Video Surveillance Cameras, and all Facilities owned systems including BAS Metering, Smart Lighting, etc.
In addition, services using Single Sign-On (CAS or Shibboleth) will be unable to establish new connections, but existing connections will remain active, including but not limited to Google Suite and Gmail, WordPress, TeamDynamix, etc.
Servers and clients on campus will have outages, including UDSIS, UDTime, Lightower sites (satellite campuses), WiFi, virtual labs, Informatica, www1.udel.edu, DHCP, DNS, etc. Also, anything that uses LDAP from the cloud will have issues.
