Oct. 1 marked the beginning of the 12th annual National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), a campaign by the National Cyber Security Alliance to educate the public about computer and information safety.
For the month of October, University of Delaware Information Technologies (IT) will be promoting cybersecurity initiatives to protect members of the campus community, as well as University information and accounts.
IT is hosting a security contest now through Nov. 15. Any faculty or staff member who has enrolled in two-factor authentication (2FA) at any time for his or her UDelNet account and who is not a central IT employee is eligible to enter for a chance to win one of three $100 Barnes and Noble gift cards. Prize drawings will be held on Nov. 15.
