To all New and Returning MS in ISTM Students,
Please let me introduce myself: My name is Professor Andrea Everard and as of September 2016, I will take over as the Director of the MS in ISTM program. I have been at the University of Delaware since 2003 and have been teaching graduate courses my entire career. I would like to thank Professor Skip White for all of his efforts in directing the program since its inception in 2003 and for making it what it is today – and state how much the department appreciates his contributions! I hope to continue his efforts and make the program beneficial to all of the students enrolled. It is an honor to work with the students and faculty involved in the MS in ISTM program.
I am also delighted to be the Faculty Advisor for the new ISTM Graduate Student Association. I would like to congratulate Sarah Meadows, Lisi Xie, Snehal Shirude and Parth Bhatt for the countless hours and effort they have put into creating the ISTM Graduate Student Association – all with the goal to improve ISTM students’ experience here at UD. I urge you to get involved, meet the other ISTM students and partake in the many events and activities that are planned.
I would enjoy meeting you whether you are new to the program or have been enrolled for some time. Please feel free to reach out to me at aeverard@udel.edu or come by my office (221 Purnell) for any information or advice on the courses you should take, the class load recommended each semester, professional opportunities available to our students, or any other program related issue. I am also interested in any feedback you may have on the program itself: what has worked, what could be improved, any suggestions you may have, etc. Please know that my door is always open and you are welcome to stop by anytime!
I hope you have an outstanding semester and I look forward to meeting you.
Best Regards,
Andrea Everard
