My Journey Starts Here…
Technology hasn’t always been my strongest suite…..
Since I joined the DIEEC organization, I have always been intrigued with how to incorporate the techy-knowledge base I had into connecting with those I work with. A little back story on me professionally, I joined the Delaware Institute for Excellence in Early Childhood organization in March of 2020. I was a Technical Assistant on the Leadership and Administration team (learn more here: https://www.dieec.udel.edu/technical-assistance/), supporting center-based childcare program owners, administrators and directors with their quality improvement goals. In September of 2022, I was hired as a Professional Development Coordinator on the same team, focusing primarily on instructing and coaching the same audience (learn more here: https://www.dieec.udel.edu/ece-admin/professional-learning-experiences/).
Facebook, Google Suite, Outlook, ZOOM, Prezi & Slack
My go-to tools for just about anything to connect, create supports or collect resources to share with my team, colleagues and providers. I am ALWAYS looking for new ways to connect with my audience…and I’ve grown to realize that I may need to identify my audience first before I add in new tools that they may just not be ready for. I work with adult learners from all different backgrounds, generations and experiences with technology. For most, technology is at its most basic functions…but there is a new wave of participants who are intrigued with what’s new and available to them. They want something that is easy to use, accessible, makes life easier and doesn’t cost a thing.
