Theophilus Annan, Rosalind Bendell, and Rucha Kulkarni presented their work at the 2025 American Society of Biomechanics Conference in Pittsburgh. Theo is developing wearable load-monitoring systems that could help people with lower-limb amputation track prosthesis use in real time, beyond the lab and in everyday life. Rosalind is using a smart sleeve to measure knee flexion angle to support injury prevention and performance monitoring in ACL reconstruction populations, and her live demo was a highlight. I hope you had the chance to stop by and see it. Rucha is taking a novel approach to improve propulsion and promote gait symmetry in individuals living with chronic stroke. See you in Canada for the 2026 World Congress of Biomechanics Conference!
