On August 22, 2019, the UD Partnership for Healthy Communities was pleased to host a Town Hall at the Tower at STAR to address Delaware’s opioid crisis.  The discussion was led by U.S. Senator Chris Coons with Director James Carroll of the U.S. Office of National Drug Control Policy.

 

 

 

The event convened local and national experts and stakeholders to discuss the current status of the opioid crisis in Delaware. The conversation involved families, first responders, law enforcement agencies and the addiction and recovery communities. The event also discussed available federal resources throughout Delaware, such as the Drug-Free Communities Support Program and the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Program.  Read more in this News Journal article.
