Welcome, Sajjad! He is currently a Ph.D. student and graduate research assistant at the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware. He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Tehran in the Summer of 2015. Directly after that, he pursued his master’s degree, focusing on tensegrity bridges and evaluating these structures performance susceptible to progressive collapse. In the summer of 2014, he worked in Sazian Consultant Engineers as a designer of runoff collection systems for grade separations, highway bridges, and urban areas of Tehran. From 2018 to 2020, Sajjad worked with three Architectural Design Studios as their Structural Designer, working on different types of projects including steel and concrete structure design, structural rehabilitation for interior design, and a timber pavilion. He is now a member of the Tehran Construction Engineering Organization. His academic interests include bridge engineering, innovative structures, architectural technology, and structural analysis.
