Rome is one of the cities I traveled to for my fall break. I’ve looked forward to visiting the city since I saw the scene where Lizzie rides around the city on the back of Paolo’s vespa (Lizzie McGuire Movie, anyone?). Rome is actually beautiful and we had wonderful weather. The coolest thing about Rome is how no matter where you are, you’re never far from a famous historic landmark. I ate gelato behind the Pantheon, and feasted on pizza across the street from the Colosseum. One thing that did amuse me was the city’s metro system. After riding both the Paris Metro and the London Underground, Rome’s two-line system paled in comparison. Rome was a lot more relaxed than London, and I did enjoy that aspect about the city, but at the end of our fall break trip, I was more than happy to be back in London.
