As a college student immersed in the vibrant streets of Paris for the first time, my initial week in the City of Lights has been nothing short of amazing. Embarking on a month-long journey for my international management course has already provided invaluable insights into global business practices.
The bustling atmosphere of Parisian life is exciting and provides new experiences to explore every day. From the landmarks like the Eiffel Tower to the cobblestone streets of Montmartre, my group and I have explored as much as we could fit in already.
Language barriers have proven to be an exciting challenge, forcing me to adapt and enhance my communication skills. Engaging with local Parisians has added a layer of cultural enrichment to my academic pursuits. My classmates and I have worked with the Sorbonne Nouvelle students for our coursework, which has brought us unique perspectives and knowledge about the city we could not have had otherwise.
While the initial week has been a whirlwind of new experiences, from navigating the Paris Metro to savoring authentic French food, it’s clear that this program extends beyond the confines of the classroom. I look forward to seeing where the future weeks take me! (Submitted on January 13, 2024)
