When I first got the news that I had been accepted into the Salamanca program, I was so ecstatic! I was finally going to the place I had been dreaming about going to since I was a little girl. My family is half Spanish, my Mother’s Father is from Spain and we still currently have family living in Spain today, whom I am excited to meet for the first time. When we first arrived in Madrid, I was hit by a wave of emotions. I was filled with excitement, nerves, and happiness. We had finally arrived in this beautiful place! The minute the plane doors opened, they were opening the doors to adventures.
