Submitted by Caroline Knotts on the 2022 spring semester program in London, England…
As a part of my London study abroad program, I got to take a day trip to Stonehenge and Bath. I loved getting to go outside the city limits and see the English countryside for the first time. Seeing Stonehenge was extremely surreal, as it was something I have seen photographs of my entire life. It was incredible to be in the presence of something so ancient. England is so much older than the United States and I am in awe of the history that surrounds everywhere I visit.
Seeing Bath was amazing as well, and it was one of my favorite moments on this program so far. It is a location that has been used in many period dramas and seeing the famous limestone buildings made me feel like I was straight out of a Jane Austen novel. It was a city unlike any I have ever been to and I am so grateful to have the opportunity the to do things like this as a part of my study abroad journey.
