Exploring more of Spain

Submitted by Abigail Conklin on the 2013 spring semester program in Granada, Spain…

This week has been about adjusting to the culture and getting comfortable enough to explore. My roommate and I have been working on our speaking and communication by talking to our host Mom more and more. Thankfully, she’s patient with us. It’s hard to believe that our introductory course is ending next week and we’ll be into our first month abroad! It’s such an experience. This past weekend our group with Boston and Stonehill College traveled to Ronda to do some sightseeing. It was beautiful and our lunch was 3 courses of pasta, chicken with roasted vegetables and french fries, and flan. It was so delicious. We’re getting more comfortable here and I’m starting to explore more. The rebajas (sales) are so tempting and the tapas are even more so. Can’t wait to have some Spanish churros!
