This last week and a half, we went to Barcelona and Rome. In Barcelona, we got to see the famous and beautiful Park Guell, the Sagrada Familia, Monserrat and my favorite, the Dali Museum. Barcelona was a beautiful city and was a huge difference from the small towns of Granada and Seville. The Dali Museum had the strangest, but most interesting artwork I had ever seen. My favorite part of Barcelona however was the FC Barcelona game. The stadium had the most energy I have ever seen and it was interesting to hear the fans from another country.
When we flew to Rome, we got to see so much of Italy in such a short amount of time. We visited the Trevi Fountain, the Coliseum, and the Forum the first two days. Then we got to visit the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel and Saint Peter’s Basilica. It was really interesting to see all of the religious aspects of Vatican City as I have grown up Catholic and went to a Catholic school. The architecture and the artwork in Rome were breathtaking and the history within was incredible. The artwork was so old and told stories of religious times that I had never been able to see up close.
