This week, Hunter Public Relations welcomed our Global Public Relations class to their London office. As a senior Media Communication major with a passion for PR, this excursion was certainly the one that I was most looking forward to. This office visit opened my eyes to what it’s truly like to work in the public relations field. The employees of Hunter Public Relations UK completely opened their office to our class and spent hours sharing their tips and tricks for young professionals. One of the most exciting parts of this visit was being given the opportunity to prepare a small group brief for Tabasco, which is one of the agency’s largest accounts. This experience was astonishing because it allowed students to get hands-on professional experience with one of the world’s largest public relation agencies. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined getting the opportunity to brainstorm with and pitch to such esteemed public relations professionals as a student. I will be forever grateful for and amazed by this opportunity to immerse myself into the professional world of public relations.
