Recycling in Costa Rica

This weekend, we went to Manuel Antonio which is a beach town on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. It was a typical beach town like in the United States. While the beach was beautiful and the sun nice and warm, what I liked the most about Manuel Antonio was that they reused old bottles as lights or decorations. They made use of what most of us would consider trash. This really impressed me and it goes to show how environmentally friendly Costa Rica is. It’s one of their core values and it was really neat to see how they apply it to their lives.
