It seems as though I’ve been in Italy for more than one week, but I’m not complaining at all! This past weekend, we went from our main location in Perugia, Italy to visit Florence, Siena and Pisa. Perugia is an absolutely beautiful city with amazing views from its hilltop, and the weekend excursion brought with it many iconic sights like the original David statue and il Duomo in Florence as well as the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Since the Epiphany is on January 6th, many of the places we have visited display Christmas lights and trees, which they have just begun to take down. It was interesting to see such decorations and festivities when many in the United States had already started to take such decorations down before I left the States.
