This photo was taken in a thrift shop in Chueca. I can’t remember the name but I’ve found that the Chueca area has a lot of stores like this. However, I’ve noticed that in Spain the thirty store are far different than those in America. I’m hesitant to even call them thrift stores because they’re really more like vintage shops. The selection is far more refined and the price point reflects that. However, there are amazing pieces in these stores.
I love to thrift at home and it’s great to get to continue that hoppy abroad. I’ve found that your hobbies are so super important to pursue even if the circumstances are different than what you’re used to. It’s also a great way to meet new people who have these shared interests. You can always deepen connections with people through your shared interests and it’s always an adventure when you’re in a new place. (Submitted on February 8, 2024)
