It’s not everyday you get to turn 22 in Italy, and it’s more rare to spend it with so many friends and seeing the most unique sights. I started off year 22 by visiting an ancient apothecary and learning about old herbal medicine (I love pharmaceuticals so this was quite exciting for me); followed one of the best lunches I’ve had on this trip in the Jewish quarters. After class was dismissed I got to visit so many ancient sights and ran into 2 friends on another UD study abroad trip to go shopping! Then many of us went out to a delicious classic Italian dinner where the waiter sang happy birthday to me and I devoured the most beautiful tiramisu. I’ve never felt so lucky than to be surrounded by so many loving people, in the place of my ancestors, learning and seeing sights that brought pure joy. Best birthday ever!
