First Week of Exploring Granada

Submitted by Annabella Gangi on the 2024 Winter LLCU program in Granada, Spain…

I arrived from Barcelona to Granada on the 8th to start my winter session! I arrived at the apartment I was living at for the month and got to meet my amazing host family! There are two young girls, two parents and three funny birds that love to fly around. I got adjusted quickly and began classes the next day. I’m taking two Spanish classes which I absolutely LOVE. It is so interactive and I’m learning more about Spanish culture and speaking Spanish. The daily schedule is definitely different from my Delaware school schedule. Breakfast here is small, it’s usually bread or a croissant with coffee. Lunch is then at 2:30 and after you take a siesta which is a nap! After lunch, my study abroad group and I usually have excursions. This week so far we had got to Albaicín and did a city tour to familiarize ourselves with Granada. After a long day, dinner is usually at 9/9:30. I cannot wait to see what next week has in store! (Submitted on January 11, 2024)
