Italy: Spilling the Beans

I spent my last week in Italy trying to soak up as much of this beautiful culture as possible. Luckily, I was able to merge my favorite morning treat with city history! I went to one of the oldest and most well known coffee roasting facilities in northern Italy and was able to observe how my go-to beverage transforms from bean to cup! As I walked through the building, I was flooded with family history, stories about how this company grew from local to international, and got to see the machinery that makes coffee possible! I got to sample different blends and bought some beans to bring back with me to the States! I felt as if I walked through history and was able to experience coffee in a whole new light! Trieste is full of surprises and history, and this city never fails to enlighten and educate me!
