Although we have only been in Madrid for a little less than a week, I have already experienced so much! We have taken the metro a few times to Puerta del Sol, which is the center of Madrid and is surrounded by shops and restaurants. We also went to Gran Via, which is a busy shopping area with very big clothing stores including some that I was familiar with like Zara and H&M as well as others that I wasn’t familiar with like Mango and Lefties. Speaking of fashion, one thing that I’ve noticed while being abroad is how well-dressed and fashionable everyone looks. Whether we are walking around the city, attending class, or going to the supermarket, I have barely seen anyone wearing loungewear or athletic clothing. Overall, I have absolutely loved my first week here and I am so excited for the rest of the semester.
