I am currently in Florence, Italy, studying travel writing and I am loving it! Florence is such a beautiful city. I have been learning and seeing so many amazing things. My favorite building so far is the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, also known as the Duomo. The Duomo is about a five minute walk from where I am staying, so I walk by it everyday. A friend of mine and I did our school work together in front of the Duomo, which felt so surreal. Even though the front of the Duomo is absolutely gorgeous, my favorite is the view from the top. The other day, the whole group climbed the Duomo. Climbing those 463 steps was totally worth it! Climbing the Duomo gives one a breathtaking view of Florence. Seeing the Duomo everyday and climbing it has definitely made me so appreciative of the city and for being able to study abroad. I am looking forward to seeing more beautiful sites!
