My third week in Lisbon consisted of a lot of traveling and hanging out with my friends that I met on the program. This week is when we all got extremely close because we were realizing that our time in Lisbon was coming to an end. One day after the hospital, a bunch of us decided to go to a famous beach town in Portugal called Cascais. Cascais is known for its beauty and its royalty because all throughout history, many royal figures have lived or stayed there. It is now a very touristy location, but all of its historic beauty and natural beauty are still present. It was one of my favorite places that we visited in Portugal because of how beautiful the shoreline was. I had never seen a place quite like it before.
Although it was our last week in Portugal, it was still packed with learning in the hospital, activities, group dinners, and traveling and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end an amazing time.
