Our third weekend in Germany, my study abroad program took a trip to Dresden. We went on a few tours to learn more about the history of the city and to see the major landmarks throughout. My favorite part of the weekend was having a tour of the Semperoper and learning about its past. It was the third version of the Semperoper, since the others were destroyed by fire and war. It was amazing to see the inside of the theater and how much detail went into the paintings and design of the interior. My hopes are to go back in the future and see a performance in this beautiful theater.
