Bonding with My Group in Hawaii

Submitted by a student on the 2020 winter session program in Hawaii sponsored by the Department of Biological Sciences…

Throughout the last week and a half of my study abroad program, I realized how much I was going to miss everyone and how time flies. In the beginning, the cold, windy weather made it more difficult to adjust. It was not until half way through the program that I felt truly bonded with people on my program and my professor. I will miss the sunshine and adventures. I know that I can bring back sunshine and an adventurous spirit back home by sharing my experiences and positive energy with other students. I am so glad to have lucked out with the personalities of the people on my program and the excursions we took as a group. I realized that even though I am not a science or biology major, I can still appreciate other people’s enthusiasm for nature and nature itself.
