This first week in Arusha, Tanzania has been full of visits to the local town and orphanage as well as visits to Arusha National Park and Tarangire National Park to view an abundance of wildlife. Our group is fortunate enough to have brilliant guides driving us through the national parks in open vehicles, allowing us to get close to wildlife and take beautiful photos of everything we see.
The town of Arusha is stunning and the local people have been wonderful and welcoming to our entire group. The photography group was given the opportunity to visit the local orphanage and create art with all of the young energetic children there which was the highlight of my week personally. We also visited Shanga, a workshop in Arusha in which people with disabilities work to create mesmerizing glass blown jewelry from scratch.
