Food is a large part of the allure of Italy. While pasta might be the first thing you think of when it comes to Italian food – and believe me, it’s popular here, too – it’s not the only thing that Italy is famous for. Overall, many of the Italians follow the Mediterranean Diet – one that is filled with primarily plant-based foods. It replaces fats with olive oil and salt for herbs and spices. On Tuesday, June 5th, we attended a cooking class that detailed these facts alongside the opportunity to actually make these classic meals.
