Submitted by Kaitlyn Brennan on the 2019 summer session program in Italy sponsored by the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences…
Since I arrived in Italy last Monday, I have been trying to adjust to the new culture here a bit more each day. In the beginning, it seemed to be more difficult than I imagined. Thankfully, I have great classmates that helped to make the change easier. We began to learn about the depth and perception cues involved in creating the art and this helped me to adjust more. Understanding the way things are done and why they are done helps to make all situations easier to adapt to. Our class has been kept busy with our museum tours and other excursions in which we got to experience parts of the wonderful culture and history here. Tomorrow, we are off to Rome for the rest of the program and I could not be more excited!
