Getting To Know Australian Animals

Submitted by Faith Howard on the 2019 winter session study abroad program in Australia and New Zealand sponsored by the Department of Business Administration…

After landing in Sydney, Australia, I knew I was going to love it here. For our first cultural excursion, we went to the Australia Walkabout Wildlife Park and were able to encounter many types of animals. We got the opportunity to pet kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, pythons, and dingoes. It was truly an Aussie experience from start to finish. I even got an awesome selfie with a kangaroo. Overall, we learned a lot about the animals and wildlife of the Australian outback.

Most people did not want to hold the big python, I was not one of them obviously.
Kangaroo selfies are the best selfies!
This is Gumtree the koala, he woke up from a nap just to hang out with us.
