One of the main symbols of Australia is the kangaroo and everyone who visits the country is super excited about seeing and petting one. We had gotten the opportunity to do so at the Featherdale Wildlife Park which is a sanctuary for a variety of animals and birds. It was an amazing experience seeing, petting, and feeding a kangaroo! What made me a little upset was how the public treated the kangaroos as if they were celebrities, constantly crowding around them and taking pictures. It felt like the animals had no space or privacy and the sad part was I think they were used to it. The animals were there to put on a show for the outsiders.
