Before even boarding the plane, I had some suspicion that the food in Ireland was not going to make your taste-buds dance. Just as a reference, I visited two donut shops in Dublin that were known to have the “best” donuts in the entire city. I was very let down by the taste because they were worse than Dunkin’s donuts, and no match to Duck Donuts’ superior donuts. Unless, you really like Irish food, you have to do some research and planning on where, and what to eat. Nonetheless, putting aside food, Dublin is an extremely beautiful city that is packed with color and intricate architecture. From the cobblestoned pathways and churches to castles, and unique bridges to cross the river, there is always something that takes your breath away. I look forward to exploring Ireland even more and hope to work up the courage to try some authentic, Irish food.
