At a discounted price, my family and I found a modest priced round trip ticket which has me arriving a few days prior to the start of the program. To my luck, I actually have a lot of family in Chile whom I have contacted already and will stay with until I start to stay with my host family! I am very excited to see my family and finally begin to converse with them in their native language.
Below are two photos of my luggage and gifts the night before I depart for Chile. It is summertime in Chile so many t-shirts and shorts are packed! In addition, I am bringing two gifts for my host family which are butter pecan cookies and a house decoration of the town I live in which is Longneck, Delaware.
