Submitted by Kaitlyn May on the 2019 winter session study abroad program in Heidelberg, Germany sponsored by the Department of Kinesiology and Applied Physiology…
I have been in Heidelberg, Germany for exactly one week now, and this program has been life changing! I was both nervous and excited to meet new people on my program, travel overseas for the first time, and conquer new cities. In justseven short days, I have made memories and friends that will last a life time. Every student on this program is so diverse, yet we compliment each other and have the best time together. We’ve been in Germany, but have also traveled to Switzerland, and we decided to go on our own excursion for a few days, to Barcelona! I have no complaints about this program, except for the fact that tap water is so expensive here!! I am excited to see what the future holds and what new experiences I will get to share with such wonderful people. I am so thankful I have had the opportunity to study abroad through UD, and would never change my decision to travel.
