This was my first week in Italy and my host university gave us the opportunity to go on a tour of the neighborhood we’re staying in, Travestere. I was expecting a brief tour of the area showing us where we could get groceries, where the school was, etc. but to my surprise, we were instead taken to all these beautiful churches around the area. This was a new experience for me, as I had never gone to church before. It was absolutely breathtaking and a great way to get to know the area.
