England: Bath And Stonehenge

Submitted by Marissa Butrico on the 2018 fall semester study abroad program in London, England…

This past weekend, I traveled outside of London to see some of the rich history in England’s countryside. First, I went to the historical town of Bath to visit the famous Roman Baths. It’s amazing that this place was preserved for so many years and it was very surreal to walk through. I got to see some beautiful architecture and lots of preserved artifacts from the Roman period. Next, I went to visit Stonehenge. The concept around the monument is really interesting, the fact that no one has any idea how these massive stones came to be arranged is a mystery that will likely be forever unsolved. I really enjoyed my visit here, especially because of all the animals scattered along the mile walk to the stones. I am very eager to continue exploring!
